How we built this comparison
Every competitor detail below comes from that company's public website as it read on October 9, 2026. Where a site does not mention something, we say "Not listed on their site" rather than guess. Products change; check each vendor before you decide. ConflictPro details come from our own product and pricing page.

Why experts choose ConflictPro
Built inside a working expert firm
Most tools in this space are built by software developers. ConflictPro is built by the people who place the experts, and by the experts who use it.
ConflictPro comes from Med Legal Pro, the medical-legal consulting firm Tracy Liberatore, Esq., PA-Emeritus, founded in 2016. Her team screens and matches medical and nursing experts on med mal, personal injury, nursing home and wrongful death cases for plaintiff, defense and criminal attorneys.
It runs our own caseload every day
Med Legal Pro's cases, experts and engagements live in ConflictPro, with thousands of conflict checks run on real cases.
Our experts use it on live cases
Med Legal Pro's own nurse and physician experts use ConflictPro on live cases, and their feedback shapes what gets built.
Every rule comes from a real conflict
The parent company check, the facility and date overlap, and the side history rules each exist because a conflict like it would have gotten an expert struck.

ExpertPractice
ExpertPractice describes itself as practice management software for expert witnesses. Its site lists case management, a calendar, document storage, multi-rate time tracking, expenses, audit-trail invoice PDFs, retainer and flat-fee billing, an AR aging report, 1099 payer tracking, Rule 26 testimony disclosure, Daubert and challenge tracking, engagement letters and a public expert directory profile. One Solo plan is listed at $49 a month or $39 a month billed annually, with a 14-day trial and no credit card. A conflict check feature is not listed on their site. It is a strong choice for an individual expert whose main pain is billing and disclosures.
ExpertClear
ExpertClear positions itself as secure practice management for expert witnesses and litigation consultants. Its site lists case management with workflow steps, a start and stop timer, expenses with receipts, a document vault, a client and firm directory, rate sheets and invoicing, and retainer tracking. Pricing is $49 a month for one expert seat, Expert Plus at $79 a month with unlimited staff and additional expert seats at $79 each, and custom Enterprise pricing that lists a BAA. A conflict check feature is not listed on their site. It suits experts who want structured workflows and records with a security focus.
ExpertCaseTools
ExpertCaseTools covers billing, case tracking and calendar work. Its site lists time and expense logging, audit-trail invoicing, retainer and trust accounting, two-way Google Calendar sync, PDF tools, an AI report builder, tasks from email, and a testimony history report. It also lists conflict checks, described as searching every case, client and contact record for a name before taking a new engagement. Pricing and trial terms are not listed on their site. It suits experts who want a broad billing toolkit and are comfortable running name searches themselves.
Where ConflictPro is different
- A real two-level conflict check. Not a search box. Level 1 runs on its own at intake and whenever parties change, across side history, employers, affiliations and dated facility history. Level 2 scans the records when they arrive. How it works.
- The parent company chain. Facilities are resolved to their owners, so a defendant under a different name but the same parent company is caught.
- A dated clearance record. Every check is logged with the date, who ran it and the outcome, which is what you want in hand when opposing counsel asks.
- Built by a medical-legal consulting firm. Med Legal Pro runs its own placements on ConflictPro every day, on med mal, personal injury, nursing home and wrongful death cases. That is why it handles expert rosters and firm workflows, not only a single practice. See the expert witness CRM page.
Where the others may suit you better: if you are a solo expert who only needs invoicing, Rule 26 lists and a public profile, ExpertPractice lists more of those billing features today. ConflictPro does not invoice attorneys or replace QuickBooks. If the risk that keeps you up is taking a case you should have declined, start with the practice management page or test your eye with the Conflict Challenge.
